In verse 6: It is surprising that Achish, the Philistine, swears here by the Lord, that is, Yahweh, the God of Israel. In verse 8: David's wish to fight against the enemies of my lord the is ambiguous. David's "lord" is Saul, but Achish takes it as a reference to himself.
