Read Genesis 5.18- 32. In verse 24: Because God took him suggests that Enoch did not die a normal death. An analogy may be the way in which the prophet Elijah was taken up into heaven by God (2 Kings 2.11-12). Enoch comes to have a place of honor in later Jewish tradition as one who walked with God.
