Read 2 Kings 7.3-20. In verse 3: On leprosy, see comment on 5.1. People with skin diseases were isolated from society because leprosy was contagious. Hence, these four leprous men are outside the city gate. In verse 4: The four men surrender to the Arameans because they have nothing to lose. In verse 6: Egypt (Heb., "Misrayim") may be a mistake for Musri, an area in Anatolia (modern Turkey), which was also the home of the Hittites.
