Read Acts 14.21-28, The necessity of persecutions (Gk., "thlipsis," see 7.10-11; 11.19; 20.23) is revealed in persistent opposition to God's kingdom (9.16). In verse 23: Elders are now appointed as another class of leaders in addition to apostles and deacons (6.1-7; 11.30; 15.2, 4).
