Read Galatians 3.1-5. In 3.1-5: Recalling the Galatians' conversion. In verse 1: Paul's preaching and lifestyle publicly displayed Christ's crucifixion (1 Cor 2.1-2; 2 Cor 4.10-12). In verse 2: Receive the Spirit: The mark of genuine conversion is experiencing God's life giving Spirit through Christ (Rom 8.9). In verse 3: Flesh and law are closely identified in Paul (Rom 8.3).
