Read Esther 10.1-3. In 10.1-3: Mordecai honored. In verse 2: Like other key events of the book of Esther, Mordecai deeds are recorded in the annals of the kings of Media and Persia. In verse 3: The closing tribute to Mordecai, as opposed to Esther for whom the book is named, is sometimes considered a latter addition to the book, though Purim is called "Mordecai's Day" in 2 Macc 15.35. Try reading these verses each day in a Lectio Divina style.
That is a four fold reading of the scriptures.
Each time through read the scriptures out loud slowly.
The first time through listen for a word or a phrase or an image that speaks to you. (Lectio)
The second time reading the same scripture what questions or dialogue are emerging within you as you reflect on this scripture. (Meditatio).
In the third time through reading out loud see what prayer is starting to arise out of you as you ponder this text in your heart. (Oratio).
Now on the fourth time through this text just still in the quiet for a time and sink into the experience of these words in your heart. (Contempatio).
