Read Exodus 40.34--38. In 40.34-38; The glory and cloud of God's presence fill the tabernacle. In verses 34-35: The presence of God in the form of the Lord's "glory" and the "cloud" had "covered" and "settled on" Mount Sinai in 24.15-18. The same divine glory and cloud covered and settled upon the tent of meeting and the tabernacle. In verse 36: Each stage of their journey looks forward to Israel's continuing trek though the wilderness toward the land of Canaan. The departure from Mount Sinai will actually begin in Num 10.11-36.
